Legislators reach new highs in push for national park on moon

A bill to be presented to the White House is pushing for a national historic park to be established on the moon to protect ‘artefacts’ left on its surface during the Apollo missions, MSN News reports.

According to the proposal from Reps Donna Edwards and Eddie Bernice Johnson, “As commercial enterprises and foreign nations acquire the ability to land on the moon, it is necessary to protect the Apollo lunar landing sites for posterity.” Indeed it is. We can’t have those Russians picking their way through our vintage ‘60s space junk and turning it into NASA kitsch coffee tables for their own fun and flea-market profit. daily times monitor
